SIS 3300/3301

Read out an event and show the waveform. Disabled during runs

The SIS3300/3301 are eight channel ADC/digitizer boards with a sampling rate of up to 105

MHz (for an individual channel) and a resolution of 12/14-bit. The board is a single width

6U VME card and has no special (i.e. non standard VME) voltage requirements.

Dual memory bank functionality in conjunction with multi event memory structure and a

range of trigger options give the unit the flexibility to cover a variety of applications. This board is compatible with the VME64x standard. In ORCA it can be placed into either a standard VME crate or the VME64 crate.

ORCA transparently supports both the 3300 and 3301 versions of the card.

The card is too complex to provide full details here. See the manual for more specific information.

Control Status Register Bits. The Enable Internal Trigger Routing should normally be selected as a minimum

Set the VME Address

Acquisition control register bits. For single event mode you would not select anything here. But you should select Auto Wrap.

Write and read back a pattern to the memory bank

Helpful Hint.

Use Cmd-Shift-> and Cmd-Shift-< to make this dialog control a card in the slot to the right or left of the currently selected card.

Use Cmd-C to bring up another card dialog, set one of them to the Rates display and one to the Settings display to see rates while setting thresholds.

Write all parameters to HW. Normally this is done automatically at the start of run
